DAY 1- AIRPORT - NEGOMBO
Ayubowan! On arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport. You will be met by your guide before you proceed with tour arrangements. Thereafter will transfer to Negombo and check into the hotel (Approx transfer time 15M)
Afternoon will drive around the city of Negombo “Little Rome” is an exciting city in the western coastal belt. Easily being invaded by different nationalities, Negombo defines a multicultural society. The city is of a vivid combination of a range of cultures mixed within. From the people living to the architectural appearance. Aged monuments built during the Dutch Colonial period stands to date. The coast of the city had once been a Fort to the Dutch. The nightlife at the beach side in Negombo is splendid with more happenings than doings. Lively beaches being the entrance, a wide range of seafood cuisines are demanding along the hotels near the beach.
DAY 2- (NEGOMBO – HABRANA)
After breakfast, we depart for our eventual destination Habarana, in the heart of what is referred to as the Cultural Zone & triangle featuring Sri Lanka’s ancient kingdoms. (Transfer Time – 3 ½ hours)
Evening we have an interesting activity in Habarana, in the form of a traditional bullock cart ride. This program is designed for you to experience the real traditional Sri Lankan rural village style, where you will travel in a Bullock cart to a rural village through lush green paddy fields where you will be served tea and “juggery” made to authentic Sri Lankan style. A visit to a paddy field to see how the local farmers protect their crops will be demonstrated. Highly recommended as a "must do” activity when you are in Habarana to feel the real Sri Lankan.

DAY 3 - (HABARANA - SIGIRIYA - POLONNARUWA)
This morning soon after breakfast, we climb the Rock Fortress of Sigiriya, one of the seven world heritage sites of the Island. (Transfer Time – 15 mins)
World Heritage giant Rock fortress of Sigiriya, built in the 5th century as a bastion and palace of king Kasyapa. The most impressive facets of the unique complex are the geometrically laid water gardens, the frescoes of beautiful maidens, and the mirror wall with ancient graffiti. The lion platform and the summit of 1.6 hectares, was surrounded by buildings during the period of Sigiriya glory.
Late afternoon, proceed towards the medieval city of Polonnaruwa for Sightseeing.
Polonnaruwa A UNESCO World Heritage site, which rose to fame as a capital between the 10th to 12th century AD. A resemblance of Angkor Wat, the royal palace and audience hall, the quadrangle and spectacular gal vihare complex give clear evidence of Sri Lanka’s past glory.
Evening will return to the hotel. Dinner & Overnight stay in Habarana.
DAY 4 - (HABARANA – KANDY)
Checkout this morning after breakfast and proceed towards Kandy. Along the way, we visit World Heritage Dambulla, known for its richly painted cave temples. (Approx Transfer Time – 2 ½ hours)
Like Sigiriya, Dambulla is a vast isolated rock mass and it was here that king Valagam Bahu took refuge from invasions in the 1st century B.C., later turning the caves into a rock temple. Some of its frescoes are over 2000 years old. The caves have a mixture of religious and secular paintings and sculptures with ceiling frescoes depicting scenes from the Buddha’s life and Sinhalese history.
Afternoon will Visit a spice garden in Matale, to see many different types of spices Sri Lanka is famous for. Matale spice gardens are among the best on the island. You will be introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed.
Evening will visit the famous TEMPLE OF THE TOOTH RELIC popularly known as the “Dalada Maligawa”.
The famous Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of The Sacred Tooth Relic. Kandy is the most venerated place of worship for Buddhists throughout the world. Built in the 16th century, this temple houses the sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha brought to Sri Lanka from the Kalinga province in ancient India in the 4th century AD. Several buildings have been added to the temple complex by successive rulers, the latest being the Golden Canopy over the inner shrine where the Tooth Relic is placed.

DAY 5 - (KANDY)
Breakfast at Hotel. Later will explore the city of Kandy with a city Tour.
Kandy was the last bastion of Buddhist political power against colonial invasion. This hill station is remarkable for the natural beauty of its setting in a peaceful wooded valley overlooking a vast artificial lake. The palace, shrines and British period buildings give it a special character, while the Buddha’s tooth relic lends a religious importance to the historic highland capital
Later will visit the Nelligala International Buddhist Center which is situated at hill top with some breathtaking views.
Afternoon will visit a Gem Museum where will be able to witness the world’s best and most precious stone such as blue sapphires, star sapphires, white sapphires, etc. An extension of the museum is the workshop where highly skilled craftsmen will demonstrate the art of mining, cutting and polishing a gemstone as well as how the intricate process of handmade jewelry is carried out.
Evening will witness a Cultural Dance Show. After completion will return to the hotel. Dinner & overnight stay in Kandy.
DAY 6 - (KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA)
After breakfast will check out and proceed towards Nuwara Eliya enroute visiting a Tea plantation / Factory to have an insight of the local tea manufacturing process including the daily routing of local workers/ Tea pluckers. (Transfer Time – 2 ½ Hours)
Will also have a city tour at the renowned hill station Nuwaraeliya
.Nuwara Eliya is a mountain station at 1,868 m (6,128ft) of altitude, in a splendid landscape. The city pretends to be particularly well-kept and neat, and the always green grass gives to the locality an aspect of “colonial British style". Nuwara Eliya was built entirely during the 19th century and its architecture mimics that of an English country town, with red-brick walls, country house like hill club and mock-Tudor half-timbering. Blessed with salubrious climate, breathtaking views of valleys, meadows, mountains and greenery.

DAY 7 - (NUWARAELIYA - COLOMBO)
Upon arrival, will explore Colombo with a City & Shopping tour.
Colombo the Commercial Capital and its impressive Parliament House, designed by celebrated architect Geoffrey Bawa is fascinating, with a cozy mixture of past and present and is the commercial center of the country Sightseeing highlights the Colombo National and Dutch period museums, old parliament houses, Gangarama Buddhist Temple, Town Hall, and the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall and excellent shopping, Colombo offers , seasonal Buddhist and Hindu pageants, international cricket tournaments, plush casinos, enjoyable evening entertainment and excellent restaurants.

DAY 8 - (COLOMBO – AIRPORT)
Breakfast at hotel.
Later will drive you to the airport in time for the departure flight leaving Sri Lanka with beautiful memories. (Transfer Time 35m)
