Tour Plan
Day 1 - (Airport - Negombo)
Ayubowan! On arrival in Sri Lanka you will be met & greeted by your guide before you proceed with tour arrangements. Thereafter will transfer to Negombo where you can relax after along flight and unwind with a view of the ocean.
Later in the evening will explore the city of Negombo with a city tour.
Overnight stay in Negombo. (Earls Negombo)
Day 2 – (Negombo – Polonnaruwa)
After early breakfast catch the action at the Negombo fish market. The market is situated at the northern end of a lagoon renowned for lobsters, crabs and prawns followed by a City Tour.
After completion will drive to the Ancient city of Polonnaruwa an UNESCO heritage site for Sightseeing and visit the ruins.
Later will check into the hotel. (Windsor Agriculture Park) Overnight stay in Polonnaruwa.
Day 3 – (Polonnaruwa)
After breakfast will take a tour of this beautiful farm.
Windsor Park prides itself in organic production of food. Walk on the bunds of the paddy fields that feed much of Sri Lanka with rice harvests.
Spend time with witnessing baby buffalos and try some buffalo curd (fresh yoghurt)
Stop for a picnic in a lakeside hut and Check out a traditional Sri Lankan farmer’s lunch.
(Windsor Agriculture Park). Overnight stay in Polonnaruwa.
Day 4 – (Polonnaruwa – Kandy)
After early breakfast head to Dambulla Wholesale Market which is one of the main centers walk through the hustle and bustle of one of the country’s busiest food markets.
After completion will drive to Kandy enroute visiting a Spice Garden tour of an impressive array of Sri Lankan-grown spices. Take part in a demonstration of the usefulness of traditional spices in Sri Lanka.
Once we reach Kandy will visit the most sacred Temple, “Temple of The Tooth Relic”.
Check into the Hotel. Dinner & overnight stay in Kandy. (Earls Regent)
Day 5 – (Kandy)
Later will join a Sinhalese family to spoil your sweet tooth with a Kandyan sweet-filled Sri Lankan Lunch and cooking class. Try your hand at crafting string hoppers, pressing a smooth rice dough into noodle-thin strands to form perfect discs (this is an art that takes some practice to master!), try a chicken curry made with spice-infused coconut milk, closer to a Thai curry.
After completion will visit a Gem Museum followed by a Cultural Dance Show.
Dinner & overnight stay in Kandy. (Earls Regent)
Day 6 – (Kandy – Nuwara Eliya)
After early breakfast will check out and drive to Nuwara Eliya enroute will visit a Tea Plantation / Factory Learn about the country’s most important export, meet local tea pluckers who will show you their craft and let you have a hands-on go at picking and then weighing tea before it heads off to the factory. Enjoy a cup of pure Ceylon Tea.
Later in the evening will visit a Tamil Family to try some traditional Tamil cuisine with dosa – a crispy rice pancake – and idli, a savory steamed rice cake served with curry sauces or chutneys.
Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya (Araliya Red) (Cooking demonstration in Daffodils Hotel or Local House)
Day 7 – (Nuwara Eliya – Galle)
After early breakfast we begin our journey downhill to the most famous southern part of the country which is famous for its Golden Beaches.
Once we reach Galle will explore this famous UNESCO heritage site with some breath-taking views of the fort.
Rest of the day at Leisure. Overnight stay in Galle (Long Beach or Amari Galle)
Day 8 – (Galle)
Breakfast at Hotel.
Later in the evening will Meet with a local fisherman and learn about their craft, and how their day to day lives
Enjoy the freshest seafood lunch possible with a fisherman's family or a hut – a wonderful crab curry and fish fry is likely to be on the menu with famous pol roti by the beach.
Overnight stay in Galle (Long Beach or Amari Galle)
Day 9 – (Galle – Colombo)
After Breakfast will drive you to the Commercial Capital “Colombo”.
Once we reach Colombo will explore this city with a City & Shopping Tour.
Dinner & overnight stay in Colombo. (Fairway or Wonder Hotel)
Day 10 – (Colombo – Departure)
Breakfast at hotel.
Later you will be transferred to the airport in time for the departure flight leaving Sri Lanka with beautiful memories
